Enjoy free, family-friendly activities for people of all ages at the annual Fort Kearny Expo!
Join us for the 2023 Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023.
The annual Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo showcases the state’s vast number of fun outdoor activities at beautiful Fort Kearny State Recreational Area. This free event is open to the public and is designed to meet the needs of anyone interested in an outdoor lifestyle, regardless of age or experience.
Those who attend can try fishing, archery, kayaking, camping and outdoor cooking, among other activities. They can also see, touch and learn more about Nebraska fish and wildlife species from wildlife biologists.

It takes a village of volunteers to make the EXPO happen. We are in need of more volunteers to make event run efficient and fun for all!

Note: Camping at Fort Kearny State Recreation area is only open to those who volunteer at least one full school day and at least four hours on Saturday. Camping volunteers may also work 6 full hours on Saturday. Campers must register through Julia Plugge by Friday, April 21. State park permit will be required. Campsites will be assigned the week of the event.
